The Xposed installer is a very popular application nowadays, for deep-rooted optimization of Android device only for users of the root level. This app has been developed by Xda-developer @rovo69 since Android Version 4.0, it reflects the dedication of the developer for its app, and the most important thing is that This app has a bunch of modules to customize the every inch of android device.

What are Modules?

A module is a component of your app that you can build, test, or debug independently. Modules are important things to customize your Android device. If you do not have any module/app installed, then there is no use of installation of the Xposed Framework. Xposed uses modules that run on memory. Therefore, any changes made can be removed easily by simply disabling the modules and rebooting.

In this guide, you will learn How to install Xposed framework in Samsung devices without boot-loops & other errors. This Xposed for Samsung devices supports all Samsung devices running TouchWiz Android 5.1 and 6.0.

  1. You must have a Samsung Smartphone with Root Access. (What else you can do after Rooting)
  2. Custom Recovery
  3. Take a complete Backup before flashing the Xposed framework file to avoid data loss in case anything goes wrong or your device doesn’t boot up (Optional)

How to install Xposed Framework in Samsung devices

  1. Download the given files(links are given at the end of the post) & transfer it to your Internal memory/SD card.
  2. Now Switch off your device, Boot into Recovery mode(The key combination is mostly Volup+Home+Power button)
  3. Go to Install zip from SDcard & locate the Xposed framework file that you have already transferred in your device.Installing-Xposed-Framework
  4. Select the zip & Install. Once Installation to complete, Wipe Dalvik & System cache and Reboot your device.
  5. Now install the Xposed framework APK on your device. If you get an error saying “Unknown installations blocked” Just Goto Settings -> Security -> Enable Unknown sources. Now install the Xposed framework APK again.
  6. To check if everything is done perfectly and working fine, launch Xposed App & Goto Framework. It would show app_process and Xposed Bridge with some no. below Active.

  1. ARM: Download (devices running arm32 OS like Galaxy S5, Note4 & others)

For Android Lollipop 5.0

For Android Lollipop 5.0, you first need to deodex your ROM. You can follow this procedure, to deodex your ROM. After this, you can flash the Xposed Framework files given below.

  1. Snapdragon Xposed Framework: Download
  2. Exynos Xposed Framework: Download
  3. Xposed Framework Uninstaller for 5.0: Download

Do not know what to choose? Do not worry, if you install incorrectly, it will not break your device. If you install incorrectly, the installer will only tell you that you should go with other versions.

If in case things didn’t go as mentioned and your device ends in the boot loop, then you may need this zip file which will restore the status of your device to the previous state: Download

If anything goes wrong and your device fails to boot, always transfer Xposed framework uninstaller zip along with Xposed framework zip in your internal storage. If something goes wrong, then boot into recovery and flash Uninstaller. Everything will be back to normal. If you get any lag, broken feature or any App force closing, post your Xposed logs here
